In the winter of 2008 I began working with a group of Brown and RISD students to create an entirely student organized and fundraised conference to bring socially and environmentally-minded design education to College Hill. The event has grown annually to become one of Brown and RISD’s best examples of student agency and experiential learning.

We are now entering our fourth year with a committee of hand-picked students from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. In addition to chairing the 2009 event, I also took on the responsibility of creating our organization’s brand. The mark, which we have evolved since its 09 version represents the interaction of all parties (not just design) to make a better world.
