Willem Van Lancker is a designer and writer. He works for Google and lives in San Francisco's Mission District.
As a User Experience and Visual Designer for Google Maps, I spend much of my time thinking about maps, location, and the narrative between our devices and the real world. Driven by a passion for direct yet delightful design, my process is fueled by a fascination with technology, complex systems, modern culture, craft, and history.
In my short career I've worked at IDEO, Apple, adidas, and Core77. I've freelanced for clients that include 826 Valencia, AIGA, Brown University, General Motors, and Reebok.
